Getting started
What is WhosIn?▾
WhosIn helps pickup and recreational sports groups coordinate games, check-ins, teams, reminders, and game-day details.
How do I create a group?▾
Tap Create Group, then set the sport, schedule, location, and minimum player count. You become the group owner and can invite players.
How do I join a group?▾
Use Discover, open an invite link, or enter an invite code. Some groups let you join instantly, while others require organizer approval.
Is WhosIn free?▾
The core experience is free. Some advanced features may become part of a paid plan later.
Games and check-ins
What does Game On mean?▾
Each group sets a minimum number of players. Once enough people check in as In, the game is confirmed as Game On.
How do I check in?▾
Open a group or tap Check In, then choose In, Maybe, or Out. You can change your status before the game.
What is the waitlist?▾
If a game fills up, extra players can wait for a spot. If someone drops out, the next person can be moved in.
Will I get reminders?▾
If you opt in, WhosIn can send game reminders and organizer updates. You can change email preferences in Profile.
Teams and supplies
How are teams made?▾
Organizers can generate balanced teams from checked-in players, using skill level and position.
What is the Bring List?▾
A per-game checklist for items like balls, pinnies, water, snacks, or equipment. Members can claim or be assigned items.
Payments
Does WhosIn handle payments?▾
No. WhosIn does not process, collect, hold, or transfer money. Payment tracking is only a record-keeping tool for groups.
Organizing
Who can approve join requests?▾
Group owners and organizers can approve or deny pending join requests.
Can I have co-organizers?▾
Yes. Owners can promote active members to organizer so they can help manage the group.
Account and settings
How do I update my profile?▾
Open Me from the bottom bar to update your name, sport, position, skill, theme, and notification preferences.
How do I delete my account?▾
Open Profile and use Delete account. This permanently removes your account and personal data and cannot be undone.
What happens to groups I own if I delete my account?▾
Ownership is handed off to another active member where possible. If you are the only member, the group may be deleted.
